Take-Off Distance Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ s = \frac{{v_R}^2}{2a} $$ where:

s   =   Take-off distance   (m)

VR   =   Rotation speed   (m/s)

a   =   Average acceleration during take-off   (m/s³)

Assumptions

  • Aircraft acceleration remains constant.
  • Aerodynamic drag and rolling resistance are neglected.
  • The runway is level.
  • There is no wind.
  • The aircraft follows a straight path.
