AC Power Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ P = V I \cdot cos(\phi) $$
where:

P   =   Real Power   (W)

V   =   RMS Voltage   (V)

I   =   RMS Current   (A)

φ   =   Phase angle between voltage and current   (rad)

Assumptions

  • Current flow is constant (DC).
  • Capactiance and inductance are ignored.
  • Relationship is linear between current, charge and time.
  • There are no losses.
