Horsepower Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ HP = \frac{T \cdot RPM}{5252} $$ where:

HP   =   Horsepower   (rad/s)

T   =   Torque   (Nm)

RPM   =   Revolutions per minute   (RPM)

Assumptions

  • Effects of friction are negligible.
  • Torque remains constant across RPM.
  • There are no transmission losses.
  • Air intake and exhasut are ideal.
