ρ   =   Density of fluid   (kg/m³)

n   =   Propeller rotational speed   (rev/s)

D   =   Propeller diameter   (m)

CQ   =   Torque Coefficient   (dimensionless)


Assumptions



  • The system is in steady state.
  • Flow is uniform.
  • The fluid is incompressible.
  • The blade flexibility is negligible.
  • System is under isothermal conditions.
