Relative Humidity Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ \phi = \frac{p_v}{p_{vs}} \cdot 100 $$ where:

φ   =   Relative Humidity   (%)

pv   =   Partial pressure of water vapor   (Pa)

pvs   =   Saturation pressure of water at the same temperature   (Pa)

Assumptions

  • Air and water vapor behave as ideal gases.
  • The system is in steady state.
  • Air and water vapour are in thermodynamic equalibrium.
  • The temperature distribution is uniform.
