Power Transmitted Between Gears Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ P = T \cdot \omega $$ where:

P   =   Power   (W)

T   =   Torque   (Nm)

ω   =   Angular Velocity   (rad/s)

Assumptions

  • There are no energy losses (the gears are ideal).
  • The gears are rigid and do not deform under load.
  • The gear ratio remains constant.
  • Backlash is negligible.
