Springback Factor Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ k_s = \frac{R_f}{R} $$ where:

ks   =   Springback factor   (dimensionless)

Rf   =   Final radius of curvature after springback   (mm)

R   =   Initial radius of curvature during loading   (mm)

Assumptions

  • The material properties are unifrom.
  • Residual stresses are negligible.
  • Bending radius remains constant.
  • Friction effects are not considered.
