Hydrostatic Pressure Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$\Delta P= \rho \cdot g \cdot \Delta h$$ where:

P   =   Hydrostatic pressure   (N/m²)

ρ   =   Density of fluid  (kg/m³)

g   =   Acceleration due to gravity   (m/s²)

h   =   Height of water column   (m)

Assumptions

  • The fluid is incompressible and homogeneous.
  • The fluid is at rest.
  • The gravitational acceleration (gravity) is constant.
