Elastic Modulus (Young's Modulus) Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ E = \frac{\sigma}{\epsilon} $$
where:

E   =   Young's Modulus   (Pa)

σ   =   Uniaxial Stress   (Pa)

ε   =   Strain   (Dimensionless)

Assumptions

  • The material behaves according to Hooke's Law.
  • The materials is homogeneous and isotropic.
  • The strees applied is uniaxial (applied in only one direction).
  • The material is pure/ideal.
