Isobaric Heat Rejection in Condensor Calculator

How This Is Calculated

$$ Q_{out} = h_4 - h_1 $$ where:

Qout   =   Heat rejected in the condenser   (J)

h4   =   Enthalpy of steam entering the condensor   (J)

h1   =   Enthalpy of the liquid exiting the condensor   (J)

Assumptions

  • The system is in steady state.
  • Working fluid behaves as an ideal gas.
  • There are no heat losses to surroundings.
  • Specific heats remain constant.
