Fd   =   Drag Force   (N)

Cd   =   Drag Coefficient   (dimensionless)

ρ   =   Fluid Density   (kg/m³)

A   =   Cross-Sectional Area   (m²)

v   =   Flow velocity   (m/s)


Assumptions



  • The fluid is incompressible.
  • The fluid is in a steady flow.
  • The flow is laminar.
  • There is no flow seperation.
  • There are no energy losses.
